After my father, Hyrand Tomasian, was shot and killed by the Turks, my mother picked up her three children and came to America in 1921. I was the oldest, 5 years old. My mother’s parents lived in New York.

I want to let you know that at the time we did not have any such programs as having in Fresno, now. That is wonderful. Take advantage of them, and appreciate them, and attend them.
