Consul General Liloyan Keynote Speaker at ASP 19th Annual Banquet

      The Armenian Studies Program at California State University, Fresno held its 19th Annual Banquet on Saturday, March 24. The guest speaker for the evening was the Honorable Armen Liloyan, Consul General of the Republic of Armenia, in Los Angeles.

Fresno State Community Commemorates April 24 With Solemn Activities at Free Speech Area

ASP Benefactor John Stephens Passes Away in Fresno April 19

      Mr. John Stephens, a major benefactor of the Armenian Studies Program, died on April 19 in Fresno.
      Earlier this year, Mr. Stephens had made a donation of $50,000 to the Armenian Studies Program. Mr. Stephens was close to the Program over the years, attending many of the lectures and other events, which he enjoyed immensely.  More >>

Fresno State Hosts International Conference on Literature in March

      Prof. Barlow Der Mugrdechian of the Armenian Studies Program at Fresno State participated in the 21st Annual Society for the Study of the Multi-Ethnic Literature of the United States (MELUS) conference, held the weekend of March 22-25. The theme of the conference was "Work, Migration, and Globalization: Contested Journeys in Multi-Ethnic U.S. Literature."  More >>
