Summary: The church Bana, is a four apsed church. According to Theirry and Donabedian (1989), four apsed churches are having the cupola placed over the central square, resting on four arches supported by four strong pillars.

The church Band was imitated of the famous church of Zuart'noc'. There were also other churches before Bana that were also imitated of the church Zuart'noc'. These churches collapsed from the effect of earthquakes. The architects took care of Bana, they provided a double partition to this four apsed church. This helped it survive a longer period.
